co-founders
The Athletes House is co-founded by Annie Frederick & Lucy Buckingham. Annie & Lucy met in Leeds, in the North of England back in 2017. Annie was studying towards her MSc in Exercise Physiology and training for Ironman triathlons, Lucy was racing full time on funding for the British triathlon olympic program.

Up until her early twenties Annie was immersed in equestrian sports, focusing on eventing. Taking a break from eventing, to allow for university, led Annie to take up triathlon. This escalated quickly and Annie was on the gifted athlete program at Chichester University and moved to Leeds to be surrounded by other triathletes whilst completing her masters.
In 2019 Annie completed the Ironman World Championships in Kona as well as a couple 70.3 & Olympic distance World Championships. Now a full time sports agent, Annie uses her skill set in sports marketing to support athletes further their careers. Having been in performance sport for the past decade Annie understands the realities and works to relieve athletes of extra pressures they face detracting from their training & competitions.
Lucy holds the distinction of being the youngest triathlete to represent Great Britain at the 2012 London Olympics. With a career spanning 14 years in elite sport, she has earned medals at both World and European Championships. Known for her bubbly personality and openness, Lucy is a central figure within her training groups
Beyond her athletic prowess, Lucy has a keen academic interest in sports science, which she studied at university. She further expanded her skill set by completing a course in fashion buying and merchandising at the prestigious London College of Fashion.
